Hi there!

No bus tour this time, we decided to take the plane from Bangkok to Phuket. Enjoying some time on the Southern islands before we have to go back home. It is so strange to say this, after having been away for so long! Only 2,5 weeks left. We at least hope that the weather will welcome us WARMLY!

So Phuket is not what you would call a small undiscovered part of paradise. At least, it depends what you define as paradise. If you define it as the proximity of a beach, good weather and party all night long it is perfect paradise. It was nice and interesting to see, especially Phuket?s night life, and it is a good place to get to other wonderful places, such as Ko Phi Phi. One of the days that we were there we decided to take a day trip to Ko Phi Phi, to see the main island, but also of course to see the wonderful bay, Maya Bay, where the movie ?The Beach? was filmed. Maya Bay was definitely beautiful, turkoise water, white sand, great setting, just very busy. We were obviously not the only tourists that wanted to see this spot. We tried to enjoy it anyways. Ko Phi Phi Don (the main island) was also very nice. A recommendation for anyone interested in spending their holidays on the islands in Thailand. We also stopped at Mosquito island to snorkel a bit. The guide took the two of us and a Russian guy to a very nice spot, with beautiful coral reef and we even saw Nemo and his whole family! So nice, to explore the beauty of nature above as well as under water.
