Ko Lanta and the 4 islands

27.March 2013 - Thailand islands

Hi guys!

Time to go on another bus trip, but this time the bus did not break down. The only exciting thing that happened was that one traveler forgot to take her luggage off the bus and ended up in Krabi empty handed. Such things are only exciting when they do not happen to you! Not that we would lose any valuable things, but it is annoying not to have any clothes or things at all anymore. We do not know how the story ended, because we were picked up at the office in Krabi to get to Ko Lanta, another island in the Andaman Sea. We again reached the island in the afternoon, so we usually take that time to settle in, take a walk to explore the beach and rest from the trip. (trips with hazards can be pretty exhausting! ;))

In order to explore some more we rented a motorbike the next day. Cruising around the island, visiting the one little village (Saladan) it has, and mainly picking out the nicest beach to spend the day at. We ended up finding a perfect beach, nice and quiet, with two chairs, an umbrella and some cool drinks, what else do you need. Next day we decided to take a trip on a boat. We visited 4 of the Trang islands. Before lunch we went to several snorkeling spots, one even nicer than the next, and lots and lots of Nemos! (I should maybe mention that a snorkel trip is only successful for me when I have seen at least one Nemo :D) For lunch we went to Ko Ngai, an island with a breathtaking beach, I should refer to the pictures! After lunch we visited a cave at the island of Ko Muk, the emerald cave. It is a nice cave you can swim through, and get to a secluded beach. Unfortunately this place was bursting with tourists again. No chance of making a picture without a tourist in an orange swimming vest!

Since we really liked the Trang islands we decided to spend two days on Ko Kradan for Easter! So to all of you back home, or where ever you are, HAPPY EASTER!
