Not only the first part of the name is the same as in Kings Island. The observation tower and several rides are also a clone. But the main reason I came here was Intimidator 305, only the second Giga-Coaster in North America after Millennium Force in Cedar Point and the third one in the world. Named after the nickname of the US racing legend Dale Earnhardt, a Giga Coaster is a coaster with a height above 300 ft (91,5m). The name is a development of the name Mega-Coaster, first used when Magnum XL 200 opened in Cedar Point in 1989 to be the first coaster over 200 ft.
The park was really empty and I could ride several times, though Intimidator had just opened this year.
