From the Park to the Stadium

08.September 2010 - New York

On 07/09 I went to the Central Park in the morning and spent about four hours on an Arts & Architecture Walking Tour in the park. The landscape is really beautifully designed and you can see many bridges as well as a castle and many statues of famous people like Schiller and Columbus.
At 1 PM I went to the Guggenheim Museum at Fifth Avenue where you can admire paintings from artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, Kandinski and many other.
Only three of the seven stories were open, but that was ok. Anyway I had to leave at 5 PM to the Yankee Stadium in the Bronx to watch my first Baseball game. They were playing against the Baltimore Orioles and lost with 2:6 runs, but the atmosphere was really great. The food is even more expensive than in the theme parks (9$ for a bottle of beer!) but it was a great experience. They also have a museum where you can see the history of the team and a signed baseball of every player and coach from the beginning until now.
