18.December 2009 - Rotorua

Auf einen advice from some ppl we meet in Taupo we stayed in a backpacker called Funky Green Voyager. Very nice and friendly. We enjoed our stay really! We were lucky because we asked fora dorm but the had no beds available so we stayed in a double room but for the same price=) Althogh we were warned i can admit Rotorua stinks! But it is because of all the volcanic activity in this aera of Nz.
Me made a daytrip to one volcanic Park. I really cant remember the name too hard...But we saw the biggest geysire called Lady Knox. But honestly it was disappointing...Other atracions were much more scenic. Like mud wholes, sulfa lakes and things like that. It was very nice. After the visit in the park we had a top scecret tip and went to bath in a hot water stream for free. Really nice. it was situated at a place where a hot and a cold(normal) river met. So it was not too hot. bbut definitley more than 40degrees! We send a very relaxing time there...The only bad thing was that u stank afterwards....i mean it was not to bad but u could smell that...We stayed there for a couple of days and it was aslo a lovely nice little town. There was or it is also the city with many Maori atrractions but we didnt do anything of that cause they want your money!!hihi yea interesting culture and u can make money with it. But anyway we also saw a dance performance and some times there are people on the streets...so you get a little impression now and then..
