Queenstown adventures

17.November 2010 - Queenstown

In Wanaka we stopped briefly to visit Puzzling World which is a pretty cool place. They have a house at a 15 degree angle so that they can do things like making it look like water is flowing uphill. They also have the leaning tower of Wanaka which is 53 degrees, and general optical illusion and puzzling fun :)

Queenstown is a beautiful place with a real energy to it. I really loved the town - especially where we were staying right on the lake front.

First morning of Queenstown, while Matt was off bungy jumping at the second tallest bungy in the world, I went hang gliding ^_^ It was fantastic fun, I was quite tempted to go again immediately after I finished, but as with all air-based things it was too expensive for that really. In the afternoon we met up to go luge riding, which is also incredibly fun, so all in all a great day!

The next day Matt went on a Milford Sound day trip and I went horse riding in Glenorchy. The lupins are out around the lakes and rivers so the whole place looks beautiful at the moment. On the way up to Christchurch we stopped off at Lake Tekapo which looks awesome with all the flowers.
