No wait, that's Christchurch... :P

All is good in Central Otago, where there genuinely does seem to be a limitless supply of cherries and other stone fruit (not stoned fruit though, that's the West Coast ;) ).

The other day we took a trip to the Catlins so that my host and a photography friend could go take a photo of the red lunar eclipse, or something, so I tagged along to see the Catlins and took some pics of my own :)

Christmas in summer isn't quite as nuts as I thought it would be, obviously it's inferior, that goes without saying, the atmosphere is no where near as cosy, but there are still all the usual trimmings and the feeling of eating far too much then wanting nothing more than a snooze. Ginger biccies and christmas cake and mince pies etc. It is patently illogical, though. Why put your big celebration in summer and not winter, when you need one to cheer you up? Stupid! >.<
