After spending some interesting days in Cairns, we (David, Madeleine, Lucia and me) started our trip to Alice Springs via Cape Tribulation which is a rain forest located north of Cairns. Actually it was very nice but comparing it with the dry rain forest in Eungella N.P. on the east coast, it was not that impressive. =)
I can tell you, the trip from Cairns to Alice was one of the best journeys I ever had!! Once we left Cairns I felt this sadness again, which I also felt when I left Sydney. But after a few days we drove through wide open landscapes which made me feel free, happy and so comfortable that I would have loved to stay there for a while! These feelings were so overwhelming when we drove a red unsealed road that we stopped =) I was cheering and juhuuuuing the whole time x) That's why I can't wait to see the west coast!
