After only two full days driving from Darwin, we arrived in Broome! There wasn't much to see on the way apart of the Kimberleys, although not with a 2wheel-drive car.
The first thing we did in Broome, was going to the McDonalds for something sweet and free internet^^
In my opinion, Broome is like the smaller Darwin =) We stayed for four days and enjoyed our time fully! We slept two nights on the beach!! It was soooo cool! =) The first night we were woken up by the ranger but the second night we were smarter and hided between the dunes =))
We also went to the market but it wasn't the same as in Darwin. In addition, we've seen the staircase to the moon!! It happens three times a year, once a month. It's called the staircase to the moon beacause as the full moon rises over the flats, there seem to be stairs which you can follow for reaching the moon. I wasnt able to take good pictures due to the darkness but Karen took quite good ones =))
We also assisted to a horse race! I almost forgot to tell you! =)) Madeleine and Geeke bet on several horses and most of the time they won! ... a few cents =) But anyway! We had lots of fun!! =))
