On tour again!

19.April 2010 - Kakadu National Park

Kakadu National Park is said to be the most beautiful spot in Australia. The film "Australia" was mainly filmed here because of the beautiful landscape. On our way to Kakadu National Park we stopped at an Aboriginal community for a cultural experience. We were welcomed by the head of the community who talked about their traditions and showed as how to to play a digeridoo! It was very impressive and extremly interesting to hear about their fascinating and rich culture. Before that we have not had the opportunity to experience it and only saw Aboriginals hanging around the streets drunk with no perspective. The cultural experience was a real eye opener for us.
Kakadu National Park has so many waterfalls you can swim in and we swam in every one we came across! The heat was enormous so we were happy to take every possible opportunity to cool down.
We loved it there!
