Back Bay in boston and hotel near it

21.December 2010 - boston, MA

Boston is a very wonderful city for traveling. I went to Boston few days ago. There I visited some places. One of those places is Back Bay. I am mentioning this place in detail.
Back Bay: Before 1857 Back Bay was a swamp. A large land reclamation project took place which was nearly double the area of the Boston peninsula stretching all the way to Fens. This project took 30 years to complete. Back Bay and Beacon Hill are considered to be one of the richest and trendiest neighborhoods in Boston. Back Bay has a distinct character unique to itself. A lot of high end shopping is done here. Here the both sides of the streets are covered with the narrow tree lining and streets are made of a large no of brownstones. This features a European sentiment with boutiques and cafes in the neighborhood. Also the neighborhood?s crown jewels are Popular Newbury Street and Commonwealth Avenue (also known as Comm. Ave). There is a cultural appeal of the neighborhood which is maintained by number of bars and international cuisine restaurants.
After visiting this Back Bay I returned back and I stayed in a hotel Nine Zero Hotel - A Kimpton Hotel. I booked this hotel from http://www.internethotels.com/usa/ma/boston-hotels/ . This website also provides many other hotels. All these hotels provide world class amenities to the customers and also satisfy all the customers. The hotel in which I stayed was also a great hotel and was very comfortable to me. I returned from Boston with great memories.
