Able Tasman National Park

13.May 2010 - Able Tasman Park

I'm always really lucky (our its probably Karma) with the weather since I'm here. It had rained at night and the ocean was quite ruff on the way to the Park. But then the clouds went off and the sun came out.
With a water taxi we "drove" from Marahau to a beautiful Beach called "Torrent Anchorage Bay". We had a little picnic there and took some funny pictures - Jill and me climbed up a little tree with a banana in our hands - before we started our 4h trek back south from where we started. I liked the first part the most cause you had a nice view over the national park and the ocean. The most part leaded through a rain forest, which was nice at the beginning but it always looked the same, so after 3 hours we all got really bored. The only highlights were the viewing points where we could see the ocean or even a beach. We cut our last part of the way and walked along the beach where it was low tide. That was really nice only the little water wholes where we had to walk through were freezing.
Back at the hostel we only had to wait for another our before we enjoyed our second Chocolate custard.
