Zoo and Botanical Gardens

18.June 2013 - Adelaide

Since the weather forecast said nice weather for today I decided to visit the Adelaide Zoo. Althought it was already 1pm when I arrived there, it was still quite cold, 14 degrees celsius. Yes it's winter in Australia.
But most animals were ouside and sunbathing, which was good for me. The zoo is famous for its two giant pandas Wang Wang and Funi. First they were still sleeping but later they were walkung outside which was awesome.
Then there were several feedings and talks. I involuntarly came quite close to a big parrott, cause it was trained to fly from one tree to another during the show, without any signs so I got quite a fright when it flew to the tree where I was standing.
At the tiger feeding the keeper had hidden the meat and it took the tiger forever to find it.
The lions were a little faster.

After the zoo I walked through the Botanical Gardens. Which weren't very interesting since it's winter and most plants lost there leafs and don't have any blossoms. But it's still a nice green spot in the city.
