Ihr Lieben!

Wir haben's geschafft: jetzt haben wir auch noch den Norden des Kontinents gesehen, bevor es morgen mit dem Flieger nach Sydney geht. Die letzten Tage in Australien sind unumgaenglich angebrochen. Schnief! Als kleines Trostpflaster wartet zum Glueck noch eine knappe Woche Hongkong auf uns... Und am 26. Maerz schlagen wir morgens um 5:20h wieder auf deutschem Boden auf.

Was wir die vergangenen Tage erlebt haben: laaaaange Zugfahrt im Ghan, Klimaschock in Darwin (die haben hier eine Luftfeuchtigkeit von 80-90 Prozent!), unheimliche Begegnung mit Krokodilen, weite Landschaften im Kakadu Nationalpark und grossartige Wasserfaelle im Litchfield Nationalpark.

Ihr duerft noch mal schmachten beim Fotosanschauen. Bald ist es vorbei mit bunten Bildern vom anderen Ende der Welt.

Dear friends and family!

We made it: we have finally seen the very north of this continent before flying back to Sydney. These are our final days in Australia and it really makes us sad. We are mentally not ready yet to go home. But well, we have no choice. At least our week in Hong Kong will give us a bit of consolation... On March 26 we will touch down on German ground.

What we did in the last couple of days: we had a looooong trip on the Ghan train, got a shock in Darwin's weather conditions: the humidity is easily between 80 and 90 percents high!, had a meeting with crocodiles, saw beautiful wide landscapes in Kakadu National Park and stunning waterfalls in Litchfield National Park.

Enjoy the pics. Probably there won't be much more to come as we have to leave this colourful country so soon.
