the journey from wanaka to franz josefs glacier was definitely the longest. It took me 6 hours, as the street were mostly curvey and I did several foto stops, unfortunately the pictures were not that great as it was mostly cloudy on the way, so I will present you the pics from Franz Josefs Glacier, for Kerstin and me it was probably not as exciting as for Gustavo, he as originially from Brazil, has never been to a glacier before so we obviously had to climb up that one as far as we could, he wanted to touch snow!!! so the walk to the glacier itself was 45 minutes, it did not look that far but we had to climb rivers and stones.
