Doris met as upon arrival at the airport and was an amazing host for our 2 days here.

Day 1 - We toured the bird park in the morning, than had an amazing chinese lunch across the road. Best dumplings I've ever tasted ! Went for an early dinner at Newton's Circus and dined on barbequed stingray, garlic lobster, clams and satay skewers. Was a bit different but really yummy. Doris is opening our eyes to new tastes. Off then to the night safari at the zoo, complete with fire dancers. It was awesome, we took the train around as the park is huge and would take a couple of hours to walk it all.

Day 2 - Beautiful coffee and Almond bread at Doris's fav cafe to kick off my birthday. A visit to Sentosa Island, then John and I strolled along Orchard Rd to do some shopping (John was very patient, but it was my birthday ....). We met Doris again at Raffles for a couple of Singapore Slings and some fun eating and throwing peanuts around. Dinner was chilli mud crab at Jumbo's restaurant, complete with bibs as you really get into it. They even provide covers for your handbag :-)
We moved on from there to the Sky Lounge at Marina Bay for a couple of drinks and enjoyed the fantastic views out over Singapore. I cant thank Doris enough for her fantastic hospitality, she's such a gem.
