First of all: I am currently pissed off because I had to write the whole following text twice because the fucking websites does not want to upload it at the first try:
We arrived in Airlie Beach last Wednesday. The first thing we did was buy goon and we started to drink at about 4pm :D That day was a typical day as bagpacker live it: Having fun during the drive, drinking so very early and being totally drunk at 7pm. But after a little dinner we went on with playing drinking games so we all slept at around 11pm. A very funny day :D
Thursday was nearly same. We started to drink on 2pm, this time slower and found some funny stuff that made us very happy and feeling lucky. It was a really great day and we had so much fun. But there is not so much to say because we did not do more than drinking that day :D
Friday began very interesting. We went on a sailing trip through the Whitsunday Islands. Our first stop was at the coast of a big island where we could go snorkeling or kayaking. I did both and it was great. In the reef were so much colors and fish. We spent the night than in a bay that was formed like a long U. So the water inside was very calm and the ship did not shake much.
On Saturday we started at 6am and drove to Whitsunday Island to Whitehaven Beach. That beach is the cleanest and ?whitest? (?) all over the world. Our guide told us that there is no beach with such a high % of clean sand. It was so awesome. Moreover the water had a great color. A mix of green and blue, very light and clean and uncolored directly at the beach. On our way bag to our ship we saw some turtles. Then we went on to a little bay in which we could go snorkeling and again there were so much colors. But I realized, that I become faster and faster in snorkeling because the reef looks all in all nearly same at every place. One reason why I did not go snorkeling on Sunday. We stayed in an area that was a bit open to the ocean during the second night so the ship was shaking a bit more but that was okay. All guys went to bed between 9pm and 11pm but I stayed on deck, lying on a bench and staring in the sky. That was the first time that I looked up into the sky without any light around me. And it was incredible! There were millions of stars, beautiful stars! And such a lot of falling stars. I had no more idea what to wish at the end :D And when there was a little cloud I had to think about my ?Wölkchen? (? yes, insider) but I felt so lucky and everything was okay. Unfortunately there were more than just a few clouds so I went to bed, too, at about 1am.
On Sunday we had to get up at 7:30 and they told us that we will be able to go snorkeling in the morning but nobody could imagine how early they really meant. At 8:30 they dropped us on a slim long sandbank with a little hill at the end. Two guys and me went over there and when we wanted to go back the middle was under water because the water came up. But the place they dropped us was high enough for lots of people ;) After 4hrs they took us up and drove back to Airlie Beach harbor.
The crew that days were a young captain (she was about 24?) her cousin who managed entertainment and activity (about 22?) and a chef who managed maintenance and food (about 25?) and both were learning. That was cool and the chef did every day breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and dinner and everything self-made and it was sooooo delicious!
And our group were a mix of some French, American and British people but mostly Germans (8) or German speaking (8 Germans, 1 Switzer girl). But we had a lot of fun together.
Back in AB we took a loooong shower what was not possible during the trip, they told us just to shower a minute, so enough to wash out the salt. After that I went to a bar in which the crew had invited us to drink for free and I ate a 300g medium T-Bone Steak and it was so unbelievable delicious! So awesome! :D After that I went back and wrote this fckng text twice?. :D Just for you guys, I hope you read this sentence otherwise I?ll hate you! :D
