I like elephants! THat's what it means!

I went to an elephant sanctuary -- called Elephant Stay -- and it was AMAZING!!
It's about $30 more expensive than the one in Chiang Mai but it's the one where Oliver Stone filmed Alexander with the elephants -- and they painted fabric for new york fashion week, and they were training for a thai film and i just felt like a groupie being around the elephants.

A little bit expensive about $277 for 3 days 2 nights but sooo worth it. My elephant was the sweetest thing this side of the universe. Dok Phai -- ahhh so amazing and there was a 3 week old baby there that was the cutest thing ever. I would pay for the overweight luggage just to bring it home. God, I'm in love.

My mahout (elephant trainer) was super amazing too, it's weird how I can't describe it, but breathaking and awe-inspiring when you ride the elephants. So I spent 3 days cleaning up poop and riding them, bathing them. Riding them really hurts the tush. My tush is very sore. For the first day I couldn't really get on, and so the mahout would have to drag my leg over and I would always kick his special place. But I got better. Not that much better.
