The lasts posts from user birte-michaen-usCairns: the end of our trip
maybe this will be the last story in our blog...
three months are already over - time pass really fast.
We are in Cairns and still try to sell our van.
The last days we stayed at nice places around Cairns. The beaches are very nive, white sand + palms...) but because of the stinger-season you are only allowed to swim in protected areas. We havent seen a crocodile yet - we`ve only eaten it...in a good restaurant at Mission beach. Mission beach was one of our favourites places!
We hope tomorrow we can drive up north to the cape tribulation. At Monday evening we will eat the last cans and drink the rest of our warm white wine...
our flight is at thuesday 1pm.
And then we are looking forward to see you!
lot of greetings!

The Zoo was nice, interesting to see the very australian Croco-Show and almost every animal living in Australia. The weather was so nice to let us without rain... almost.
Now let's go to Fraser Island!]]>

http://www.mymapblog.com/birte-micha/30_03_09/its_raining!/Corindi Beach: What a nice place
that's one of the beautiful aspects of australia, you head to a place with no big name and you find something really nice. so was it the case with corindi beach. a nice place to stay only a few metres from the ocean. and one evening we spent our time in the local pub where a local quizshow took place with the goal to collect money for the victims of the bushfires. it was an awesome experience and very funny. sadly we are not that good in australian famous persons, movies, tv etc.
the next day we had a look at the aboriginal culture centre in corindi beach, that was also interresting.
now it's time for a famous place... byron bay
cheers bi and me

http://www.mymapblog.com/birte-micha/29_03_09/What_a_nice_place/waterfall way: last days...
... and sorry that we have not showed any fotos of sydney and the other lovely spots yet. we'll try to do our best....
after the blue mountains we stayed at the hawkesbury river and that was a really nice place! we rent a little boat for 2 hours and made a tour over the river ... also if micha was frightened when i was "driving" the boat...
back at the sea we spent 2 nights at the little place crescent head-a famous place for surfers.but we didnt try to surf although we have a surf board in our van...
yesterday and today we made a trip into the "auenland" (you know what we mean if you have seen the movie lord of the rings).the waterfall way keept us through a lovely landscape with a lot of cows and fresh (!) green gras.
this morning we made a walking track for 2 hours-this was really great! it was a bit like in a rainforest but with a view over all hills.
now it is raining so we spent the time at a little liberary bevor we go back to the coast. In a few days we'll be at byron bay.
lot of greetings!!! and thank you very much for all your messages! it is so nice to read them at the end of the world..

http://www.mymapblog.com/birte-micha/27_03_09/last_days~dot~dot~dot/Sydney: Sydney
and greetings from Sydney! What a nice and impressive town. So much to see and to experience...
We went to the Opera House and took a tour through the building and were lucky to have the possibility to listen to a orchestra-excercise. it was overwhelming. one day later we attended a concert of indian funk music, that was very interesting :) the sound in the big concert hall is so amazing!
We went to Paddington, Manly Beach, Bondi Beach, the Rocks and some more places. We can assure you that we need a rest now ;)
Residents of Melbourne and Sydney both say that their town is better and more beautiful. We would say they are very different but both worth a travel...
Later
