so I'll be in christchurch in a couple of hours...
Left a very nice wwoofing place and nearly got a heart attac because I got my pin wrong 3 times...
and then a lady from the australian government got me for a survey about travellers like me in OZ... answered a lot of questions and good a key ring and bookmarks :) (yeah I know I'm a child)
and I've got nearly nothing planned for NZ... but I'm so exited about it all...
staying there for 2 weeks and want to see and do so many things... and after that my countdown till home will start.. but I'm not getting tired off traveling around! I think everybody thinks I'm some kind of very dangerous freak...!

and today we had a "show polo" in Adelaide, where peolple pay 200 dollars to see tha games and have lunch... and I can now say that I "passed the polo groom course" bandages, bridles, tails... whatever you want^^

Really looking forward to a good night sleep and my trip to Kangaroo Island (start 6h15pm... urgs)

yvonne and I were both riding out young horses as john comes by and aks us to shift sheep... well... so off we go with our horses who have never done that... chasing sheep in the vineyards... which means you have to be in the right row to manage anything bacause you can anonly ride in the row and try not to get caught in random wires and spiderwebs... we managed to do chase them out and now they were on the polo field and the dog would not help because she has been taught not to come near horses... so she doesn't come near the horses to muster the sheep.... somehow they ended up were they belonged, ouf!

Today... nooo water again... so to clean horses? Just use the water out of the thraughs and a brush!

we were supposed to go to polo in adelaide sunday morning and took the "small" truck again... really really bad idea...
halfway through the hills I somehow felt it getting warmer and warmer and john wasn't driving in the same speed as he normally does, and it startted smelling kinda bad...

in theses trucks you basically sit on the motorso ypu can lift the middle seat and look at it... by the time we stopped it smoked a little bit from down there... niiiiiiiiiiiiice... john filled it up with water again (all our drinking water) so that we could make it to the next service station... were they todl us to get water from the otehr side of the street and I risked my life (you know I like to exagerate from time to time) carrying water buckets for nothing because it turned out thaat the whole water pumpis broken... as a result of that everything legft to do was calling gordy who lives nearby and load our horses into his truck and go home... no polo today... (had to excersing in the evening) good thing we only took 7 horses because more wouldn't have fitted into gordy's transporter...
anyway tha whole day felt kidn of strange and veeeeeery hot

A friend of John and Yvonne does it in exchange of some pump reparations... it's done with liquid neutrogen, and at first the brand just seems to fade, and you can hardly see it, but apparently afterwards it swells and when the clipped hair grows back we'll be able to see the two withe crossed polo sticks, the ballandown brand. It's a lot less painful than actual hot branding.

Yesterday I saw a horse chiropractor work for the first time^^ and I wanted to eat the hay we were feeding the horses myself because it was smelling so beautifully like honey!

(John and Yvonne are the couple that employs me)

anyway john asks me if i had had a shower or not... and realises he has to go back to the pumps even if I had taken a shower... I drink white wine with Yvonne and she is like
"mmmhh I had a piece of chocolate cake earlier I' m not hungry... but I should start making dinner... I'll just do bacon and eggs"
me:"can I help somehow?"
Yvonne:"well you can make yourself bacon and eggs"
so I agree and start making myself bacon and eggs... a couple of month ago I even have denied the pure thought of it...!!
So Yvonne goes out to call Susie one the phone and I'm cooking my bacon when John comes in"Do you want to take a shower now?"
So I decide to have a shower in between the bacon and the eggs(which means going back to my bungalow)... I come back finish my fabulous "cooking" and join Yvonne and Nona(John's mother) on the "hollywood schaukel" and eat my dinner in the dark on the hollywoodschaukel and clara(nona) soon escapes bacause she's is being eaten up by the moskitos and I should have done the same... my feet, my legs, my arms... even my face was what seems to be a delicious insect dinner...
and I find myself eating a piece of the famous chocolate cake for desset(Yvonne:"go for it! if you eat it, I don't eat it!)(inside of course no way I'm moskito food again) then I go back outside to say goodnight to yvonne, who is reporting everything to susie and says she wants to go back inside to get anothet glass of wine, as I realise I havn't finished mine.. so I run inside, finish mine and go back out again...


basically in my life long Top3 of the most unhealthiest dinners this one is pretty high rated... and it was a lot of going out, coming back in, too... and I can't decide what I hate more.. moskitos or ants...

Have been lunging horses during the whole day in between rainshowers and heavy wind yesterday... and with the horses trotting and cantering and me cracking the whip only my shower knows how much sand ended up in my hair and between my toes...

Tomorrow I will officially have worked as a polo groom for longer than I've done any other job in my life höhö... but time really flies and I'm enjoying every minute, even if I do stupid mistakes with the horses and stuff...
One can really feel spring's cominf now, and with my pathetic european skin I really have to be careful with the sun(love it when they say "UV alert" on the news, we don't have that^^)... gonig to see if my nose is red by tomorrow or not... sunday tomorrow by the way... feeding the horses at 7am like usally, yeah I'm getting used to the fact you don't catch up sleep in the morning but just go to bed early at night... good night
