We were staying in Arcadia, Los Angeles. My husband had an ifficial tour to California for 3 months in 2007.

On a long weekend we decided to have a visit to San Diego. We searched the Interesting places in San Diego, and the one that attracted us was Gas Lamp Dirstrict and then the Disney + Sea World, which I will add later on in another blog :).
We traveled by car to San Diego which took us half day. Our hotel was Sheraton. We had booked it the other night on priceline ;). The vallet parking was available but my husband wanted to park the car hemself. So we entered the parking lot, and Oh My Lord!...the turns seemed never ending. It seemed like we were driving on hair curls :)). At last we got to the parking lot and it was so busy, we had to park it on last floor where we were lucky to have the last place.

Entering the room was the most exciting experience. It was on the 22nd floor and we could see far far buildings in the area. The planes flying by were so close to the windows. It was awesome. The service, to mention here was also damn good.

In evening after we had tea, we prepared ourselves to have a walk down the GasLamp District. We took a map with us. I packed my infant daughter to my back and started our little trip to the downtown.

Oh Boy! the lights, people, traffic, food smells, fashion everything looked a fantasy. The K street, Market street, Island Avenue, G street and all the other streets we saw on foot. When we reached the Convention Center, it felt like a victory seeing it all.

People were singing and playing guitars and violins sitting on the blocks. The life was alive there.

Cuisines from all over the world were there, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, India, Egypt and much more.

See the following sites and try to mae a tour to Gas Lamp District. I promise you will not be dissapointed.

San Bernardino: Big Bear Lake
I visited Big Bear Lake with my family in summer, 2007. And it was a fabulous decision to go there.

Although driving the car was one tough thing, which my husband was doing :), I sitting beside him was having nausea because of the pin size turns. We were almost travelling in circles....yes...you are thinking right...it is on top of the mountain.

My daughter almost threw up because of the continuous circles :)) She was more happy when she saw the open ground and geese and ducks running all arround her.

The people were fishing. Some parents were training their children how to fish. Lodges were booked. People were enjoying the summer vacations there. I remember a couple was sitting on one these rocks in the picture I have attatched. They were sun tanning :) and it was really the ideal place to do that.

We took photographs with the Big Bear Statue. It was so nice toonly sit in the bench and see the water flowing and the waves striking the stones...Ohh! and I remember from that I picked up few stones from there.

You guys should plan a trip to Big Bear Lake. It is wonderful in winter as well...this is what I have heard and seen but I will definitely go there in snow as well....

For more information see http://www.bigbear.com/

Best of luck ;)
